Lifetouch Canada Volunteerism

We are dedicated to making a difference in people’s lives.

Joining hands to support children and families, Lifetouch employees embrace special needs children, homeless families, victims of natural disaster, and many others.

Helping Out Local Communities

Below are just some of the examples of how Lifetouch employees represent the Lifetouch heart in their own communities.

Student Leadership Awards Sponsor

(Throughout Canada)

When the president of the Canadian Association of School Principals asked for sponsorship help in 2006, Lifetouch immediately provided the necessary funds. And we’ve continued as a sponsor every year since. In addition, Lifetouch helps fund the Canadian Merit Scholarship Foundation in support of students with leadership potential and a commitment to community service.

Tim Hortons® Annual Kids’ Fishing Day

(Barrie, Ontario)

Each year, Lifetouch Canada Territory Manager Shawn Northcott and a team of employees join with the Rotary Club of Barrie-Kempenfelt and community sponsors to make the event free of charge for 1,200 kids who otherwise wouldn’t have an opportunity to fish. The Lifetouch team greets every child and their families and prints complimentary portraits on-the-spot.

Sunshine Foundation

(London, Ontario)

Lifetouch Canada partnered with the Sunshine Foundation to make a dream come true for a physically disabled child by funding a trip to Disney World for her and her family.

Rebuilding Communities Throughout the World

Through philanthropy and volunteerism, we help rebuild lives, while preserving memories along the way with complimentary photography.

We call our work Lifetouch Memory Missions®:

  • In times of disaster, Lifetouch National School Studios has provided free portrait services to replace destroyed or damaged portraits of school children.
  • Lifetouch employees visited war-torn Kosovo to help rebuild communities and provide photo IDs for refugees.
  • Volunteers helped build a children’s centre in Jamaica and repair homes in Appalachia and near Jellico, Tennessee.
  • Lifetouch past and present employees funded and built 7 schools along with a school lunch program in Haitian villages.
  • Lifetouch volunteers worked on-site to assist families in New Orleans affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
